Can I put this pottery in the microwave?

Accepted Answer

As some natural clays can contain tiny flecks of iron or basalt, I do not recommend they are used in the microwave.

Are these pieces dishwasher safe?

Accepted Answer

These pieces can be put through the dishwasher, however the harsh salts and detergents may cause the colours and textures to become less vibrant over time, so I tend to wash them up by hand.

Is this pottery food safe?

Accepted Answer

All the glazes I use are leadfree and are designated 'food safe' in that they will not leach toxins. Some of the colours, particularly the more coppery green tones do not enjoy being in prolonged contact with acid, and can become discolored if they are used to store lemon juice or vinegar for long periods.

Why are my coffee beakers different sizes?

Every piece of ceramic art from Wolf Wood is handmade; there is no automation in the process, so each piece will have its own characteristics and slight variations. In a set of beakers, there will be a strong 'family resemblance' whether through shape or glaze, but there will never be two pieces the same anywhere in the world!

Probably! I do all my wrapping and packing myself and do not yet have a regular supplier for overseas shipping. If you let me know where you are, I will do my best to try and ship to you! Drop me an email!
